Gulf Transport
Recognizing a need for reliable transport services for our customers, ICEC established Gulf Transport in 2009 as a wholly-owned subsidiary to provide molten‑sulphur trucking services. Gulf Transport operates from our Atmore, Alabama, location.
To get our operations up and running, we undertook a number of initiatives to support the business plan. They included:
- Specifying fleet design and ensuring the dependability and safety of each rig
- Hiring staff, procuring land and constructing a building
- Analyzing fleet utilization and rate competitiveness
- Providing thorough driver training and D.O.T. safety compliance initiatives
