Since the early 1980’s ICEC has maintained its Asian regional headquarters in Singapore owing to its excellent communication, commercial and financial facilities.
Singapore consists of one main island and 60 small islands strategically located at the southern point of the Malaysian Peninsula. It is a modern metropolis in that it is safe, clean and a model business center in terms of efficiency. It is also a multicultural city with its diverse cultural heritage from parts such as the Malaysian Peninsula, China, the Indian sub-continent and Sri Lanka. Its climate is warm and tropical with sunshine all year long. Visitors will also experience high levels of humidity and an abundance of rain.
Many of the city's attractions are close in distance. A shoppers haven, Orchard Road, is located in the northern part of the city center. Chinatown is just to the southeast of Orchard Road, while Little India is northeast. Sentosa Island is directly to the southwest of the city center amidst its many pleasures. These frequently visited neighborhoods, as well as more suburban areas, remain a bustling well into the evening.
