New Delhi, the capital of India, is one of the fastest growing cities in India and the epicenter of the nation's political, economic and cultural activity. New Delhi was built on a site adjacent to Delhi, or Old Delhi between 1912 and 1929. Created by the British Raj, it is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues with imposing government buildings. From about November until the end of March the weather is amazing with daytime temperatures between 21 and 30 deg C. For those visiting, two of New Delhi’s monuments the Qutb Minar and Humayun's Tomb have been declared World Heritage Sites. There is an element of peace to this city rich with history, culture, architecture and human diversity.
